India’s veteran off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin is part of the ongoing Border Gavaskar Trophy series against the Australian national cricket team. He is currently the second-leading wicket-taker in the ongoing BGT series.

The experienced campaigner bowled many impactful spells for the team when it really mattered the most and prepared rewards. He has bagged a total of 14 wickets to his name so far in the series.

He is currently involved in the third Test against Australia, which is taking place at Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore. The veteran cricketer is yet to produce a spark so far in the first innings with the ball.

Meanwhile, India’s top-tier spinner, Ravichandran Ashwin etched his name into the record books after he became the No.1 bowler in the ICC Test ranking.

Ashwin has been constantly delivering the goods for the team as far as the longest format of the game is concerned. Apart from his bowling credentials, he has also been handy with the bat.

Having played a total of 91 Tests in his career, the experienced bowling all-rounder scored 3106 runs including five centuries and 13 half-centuries to his name. He registered his personal best score of 124.

On the other end of the spectrum, Ravi Ashwin took 463 wickets to his name in red-ball cricket. Recently, he etched his name into the record books after he became the fastest Indian bowler to take 450 wickets.

He achieved the feat during the first innings of the Nagpur Test against Australia. It has been a terrific journey for Ashwin as far as the longest format of the game is concerned and his significant contribution shall never be forgotten.

Moreover, he has a few more years of cricket left in him and he must be hungry to pick more wickets in Test cricket. He has bagged 31 fifers and 7 ten-wicket-hauls in Tests.
