Yashasvi Jaiswal etched his name into record books after he hit the fastest half-century in the history of the cash-rich Indian Premier League. The left-handed batsman broke KL Rahul’s record of 14-ball fifty in the game against the Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
The young southpaw kick-started his innings ever so well as he scored 26 runs in the first over, the second-most in the history of the IPL. He gained a great deal of confidence from the blistering start and simply went about his business.
In the process, he became the first batter from India to score 500+ runs in the sixteenth edition of the Indian Premier League. Yashasvi Jaiswal didn’t spare the KKR bowlers as he kept unleashing firepower and inflicted quite a lot of damage on the KKR bowlers with ease.

Yashasvi Jaiswal who has been in surreal form for Rajasthan Royals in IPL scored the fastest fifty in IPL history. He accomplished the feat in just 13 deliveries. Rajasthan Royals largely benefitted from his services.
He already averages 50 in IPL 2023 and is only expected to get better as the tournament progresses. Batting first, Kolkata Knight Riders posted a modest total of 149 for the loss of eight wickets in their quota of 20 overs.
