“Excellent composure from Arshdeep Singh”, Twitter reacts as India won the match against Bangladesh by 5 runs (D/L)

An exciting match was won by India by the narrowest of margins. They owe a debt of gratitude to their fielding, particularly KL, as well as to the rain for assisting them in this victory. When Litton Das was throwing all he had at the ball, Bangladesh had a great chance of winning the game. They had a score of 66 for no loss when the rain started falling, and they were 17 points ahead of par in DLS at that moment.

They would have triumphed if the rain had just remained put the whole time. But once it stopped raining, everything started to go differently. On the first ball, Das tripped while going back for the second, and as if that wasn’t enough of a warning, on the following ball he fell while going back for the second, and he was run out by KL with a direct hit. This proved to be the deciding moment in the game, as the much-maligned Indian fielding performed well on the night in question.

From that point on, Bangladesh skied everything up, and India caught every single one of them. Hardik in the penultimate over and Arshdeep Singh in the last over retained their composure to ensure that India would not suffer a setback, which would’ve been practically deadly for them in terms of the race for the semi-final. There was a late suggestion of a charge from Nurul Hasan and Taskin Ahmed.
