The second ODI of the India vs Bangladesh series is currently underway at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka. Home team Bangladesh have a 1-0 lead in the three-match series right now. If they win this game, they will secure an unassailable lead of 2-0 against former world champions India.

Bangladesh cricket team captain Liton Das won the toss in the second ODI against India and elected to bat first. Das felt that the pitch will get difficult for batting in the second innings, which is why he wanted his team to put runs on the board.

However, the home team did not get off to a good start. Fast bowler Mohammad Siraj wreaked havoc in the powerplay overs. He has brilliant for India ever since he returned to the white-ball formats. Speaking of his numbers in the second ODI against Bangladesh, Siraj has bowled five overs, conceding 29 runs and scalping two wickets.

The right-arm fast bowler dismissed both the openers of the Bangladesh cricket team – Liton Das and Anamul Haque. While Das lost his stumps to the Indian pacer, Anamul was trapped in front of his stumps by a top-quality in-swinging delivery from Siraj.

After the fall of the first wicket, Nazmul Hossain Shanto came out to bat at number three for the Bangladesh cricket team. The left-handed batter has looked in good touch as he has tried to neutralize the swing by stepping out of his crease and hitting Mohammad Siraj for boundaries. He is currently batting on 16 off 28 deliveries with two fours to his name.
