Good players getting injured ahead of the marquee tournaments is indeed a terrible blow to the entire team. Since the last year, several players have been getting injured, irrespective of their fitness.
Taking Indian cricket team into account, they missed two valuable players namely Ravindra Jadeja and Jasprit Bumrah for the Asia Cup 2022 in the UAE and the ICC Twenty20 World Cup 2022 in Australia.
These two players are regular starters across all three formats of the game. However, untimely injuries stopped them taking part in these two tournaments. Meanwhile, the latest Indian player who sustained an injury is KL Rahul.
The Lucknow Super Giants captain had a woeful day at the office while locking horns with Royal Challengers Bangalore at Lucknow cricket stadium. KL Rahul picked up an injury and wasn’t looking comfortable on the field.
Meanwhile, the LSG physios quickly attended to him to check if he was alright. Since he was unable to continue playing on the field, he was taken off with the help of the physios.
KL Rahul confirms he is ruled out of WTC Final 2023
Later on, it was confirmed that KL Rahul will no longer play his part in the remainder of the cash-rich Indian Premier League, in what is a big blow to Lucknow Super Giants’ chances in the IPL 2023 edition.
After that, reports emerged that KL Rahul is also likely to be ruled out of the WTC Final 2023 against Australia at The Kennington Oval in London, slated to be held from June 7 to 11, with June 12 set as the reserve day.
Meanwhile, KL Rahul himself has confirmed that he is ruled out of the WTC Final 2023. In his latest update on social media, he has confirmed that he will be undergoing thigh injury shortly and he will be focusing on rehabilitation and recovery process in the coming weeks.
He further added that he is absolutely gutted that he won’t turn up for the ICC WTC Final at The Oval.
Every week WTC seems to move far away from us 🥺 https://t.co/O4jbPHfLgm

It feels so disappointing seeing our own Indians celebrating after his injury! Yeah he is going through bad form but can't we just wish him get well soon! 💔

KL Rahul should take his time to recover, play some domestic cricket, play some quality County cricket and make a comeback.

Certainly a big miss for India.
He has a decent record in England and he was successful in last tour too.
