Ashish Nehra, who played as a pacer for India in the past, remarked on Hardik Pandya‘s progression as a player, noting that he has grown more cool and serene. Nehra believes that the birth of Pandya’s son has been a crucial factor in the all-rounder’s development as a person and as a player.

Over the course of the last several months, Pandya, who is 28 years old, has established himself as an essential member of the Indian white-ball squad. In the most recent matchup for the Asia Cup, which took place on August 28 versus Pakistan, he showed nerves of steel. In the last over of the match, he got the better of Mohammad Nawaz by smashing a six to ensure a victory by five wickets.

“Yes, even I’ve witnessed it. And there is no other option. Both as a person and as a player, you will grow as a result of the passage of time and the accumulation of experience. Pandya is the same as everyone else. You might have seen him talking about it.”

He added: “He has said on several occasions that he has gained various insights from a wide range of experiences. Since then, he has settled down, been married, and become a parent. Since Agastya has arrived, he has been less anxious and is able to concentrate more intently on his job.”

He reflected on the time he spent playing with Pandya before the latter’s retirement and remembered how talented and dedicated to his craft Pandya was.

In white-ball cricket for India, the seam-bowling all-rounder had trouble fulfilling his job due to recurrent back problems. He also had trouble playing the role well. However, during the last several weeks, he has established himself as a different player, beginning with the tour of England.
