There is a lot of competition to land a spot in Team India. Unless the player performs consistently, he may not get a long rope. However, having an additional skill might help their case. India does not have too many part-timers in the setup. If a few players can address that, it will help them strengthen their case in the eyes of the selectors. Here, we take a look at three young Indian batters who must work on their part-time bowling to strengthen their case for a spot in Team India.

1) Sarfaraz Khan

Despite doing well at the domestic level, Sarfaraz is struggling for a spot in the Indian Test Team right now. While he must first work on whatever is stopping him from the Indian Team, he could also try improving his bowling returns.

Back during his U19 days, he was a regular leg-spinner. If he develops his skills in this regard, the management might surely consider him in the future.

2) Tilak Varma

Tilak Varma is one of the young Indian batters who must work on their part-time bowling to strengthen their case for a spot in Team India. The Hyderabad cricketer is soon set for a selection in the Indian Team.

However, considering the competition, it would be better if he starts working on his right-arm off-spin. A few overs of off-spin in a T20 game might go a great way in helping the team out in difficult situations.

3) Yashasvi Jaiswal

Yashasvi Jaiswal has already cracked the situation and got a place in the Indian Team. However, for the opening spot, there are a lot of contenders.

He can also bowl leg spin and used to do that consistently. If he can do it more often, it could help his case in getting a longer rope. An opener offering a few overs with the ball would be a great luxury for the squad.
