After his retirement from international cricket in late August 15, 2020, he has been actively plying his trade in the cash-rich Indian Premier League. Under his tutelage, Chennai Super Kings became a formidable force to be reckoned with in the IPL.

The yellow army has won as many as four titles so far in their journey, thus becoming the only team to beat four different opponents in the final to win the honours. CSK won their first title by beating MI in IPL 2010 final.

The yellow army defended the title successfully by beating RCB in the IPL 2011 final. After that, CSK went on to beat SRH in the IPL 2018 final to clinch their third title whereas they won their fourth title by beating KKR in the IPL 2021 final.

Meanwhile, CSK captain, MS Dhoni is currently involved in the sixteenth edition of the Indian Premier League. He is all set to create a new record tonight as he will be playing his 200th match as CSK skipper in today’s encounter against Rajasthan Royals.

The highly-anticipated blockbuster clash will begin tonight at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Earlier, Chennai Super Kings started their IPL 2023 campaign with a defeat over defending champions, Gujarat Titans in the tournament opener in Ahmedabad.

However, MS Dhoni and Co made a stellar rebound in the second game against Lucknow Super Giants at home, as they won the game by 12 runs. In their third game, CSK went on to defeat their rivals, Mumbai Indians at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai by 7 wickets.
