Gujarat Titans can take pride in the fact that they started their campaign on a grand note. The defending champions kick-started their title defence with a surreal win over Chennai Super Kings in the tournament opener in Ahmedabad.

Hardik Pandya and Co were head and shoulders above the four-time IPL champions in the game. Rightly so, they won the game by five wickets with four balls to spare. With this win, Gujarat Titans secured three wins in a row against Chennai Super Kings in the IPL.

Gujarat Titans played superbly well against Delhi Capitals in the recently-concluded encounter at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Hardik Pandya and Co restricted David Warner and Co to 162/8 in 20 overs.

Hardik Pandya makes a bold prediction for Sai Sudharsan

Gujarat Titans aced the run-chase in 18.1 overs to make it two wins on the trot. They won the game by six wickets. Sai Sudharsan was the pick of the batters in the run-chase.

The 21-year-old southpaw combined the game with caution and a bit of aggression to help his team cross the victory line against Delhi Capitals. He brought up his second IPL fifty with the help of flashy boundaries and tremendous hits over the fence.

Sai Sudharsan remained unbeaten on 62 off 48 balls where he composed his innings with the help of 4 fours and 2 sixes. Rightly so, he was named the player of the match for his batting display.

After the game, GT skipper, Hardik Pandya heaped praise on the youngster for his performance before making a bold prediction for the Tamil Nadu cricketer, adding that he will play for Team India in two years’ time.

Hardik Pandya’s compliment must have surely given Sai Sudharsan a morale boost going forward into the season. Hardik Pandya reckons that Sai Sudharsan will do great for franchise cricket and for India too.
