“Psychological loss for India,” Fans slam India’s death bowling despite series win

India claimed 16-run win in the second T20I against South Africa to clinch the series 2-0.

Despite clinching the series after defeating South Africa in the second T20I in Guwahati, fans were unhappy with the Indian Cricket Team. They lashed out at the team for their pretty ordinary death bowling and also raised concerns for the same with T20 World Cup 2022 around the corner. 

India defeats South Africa by 16 runs to clinch the series 2-0 

Indian Cricket Team clinched the three-match T20I series against South Africa by bagging a 16-run victory in the second game. Asked to bat first, it was a superlative batting effort from their end as all their batters chipped in and smashed South African bowlers all over the park.

The likes of Suryakumar Yadav (61), KL Rahul (57), Virat Kohli (49*) and Dinesh Karthik (17*) chipped in at the crucial stages of the game and helped India post a gigantic total of 237 runs on the board. 

They then started well with the ball as Arshdeep Singh took two wickets in the second over and then later Akshar Patel removed Aiden Markram to leave South Africa tottering at 47/3. However, after that the game had the Proteas written all over it.

David Miller (106) and Quinton de Kock (69) stitched unbeaten 174 runs partnership to put India under pressure. At one moment it almost seemed that they would chase the target as they smashed Indian pacers in the death overs. But in the end the target was too much as India completed a 16-run victory. 

Fans unhappy with India’s bowling despite win in second T20I 

Indian bowlers were literally taken to cleaners in the end. Baring Deepak Chahar, every bowler conceded more than 35 runs. Fans were quick to take note of India’s poor bowling and raised concerns over the same. Here are some of the reactions:
