Fans took the internet by storm after the Board of Control for Cricket (BCCI) announced the squad for the T20 World Cup 2022. Many expressed their happiness whereas some were disappointed with the squad selection.

Indian squad for the T20 World Cup 2022 

BCCI on Monday (12th September) surprised many when they named a 15-member squad for the T20 World Cup 2022, which will be played in Australia from 16th October to 13th November. India will begin their campaign against arch-rivals Pakistan on 23rd October.

The squad will be led by Rohit Sharma with KL Rahul being his deputy. Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav are slated to bat in the middle. In what was a massive boost for the team both Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel were back in the team after recovering from their injuries. They along with Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Arshdeep Singh will handle the pace bowling unit.

Both Rishabh Pant and Dinesh Karthik were selected in the squad as the wicket keepers whereas Hardik Pandya, Deepak Hooda, Axar Patel, and R Ashwin were also named in the team along with Yuzvendra Chahal.
