A lot of changes are set to happen in the Indian Cricket Team. After the whitewash against New Zealand, it is clear that the BCCI will take some bold decisions. The Test Team could have some of the players return at least for the home games. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of three cricketers who could return to the Indian Team for home Tests.

1) Axar Patel

Axar Patel has not played Test cricket for a while now. Interestingly, not long ago, he was an undroppable name in the Indian Test Team, especially in Tests. However, he is now not even in the squad for the upcoming BGT.

With the rubbing by New Zealand, it is clear that Axar Patel will be one of the beneficiaries. He is sure to feature in the upcoming home Tests for India. While he is very good with the ball, his ability to bat well against spin is also a big advantage by having him in the team.

2) Shreyas Iyer

Shreyas Iyer is one of the cricketers who could return to the Indian Team for home Tests. He might be in bad form but Iyer is still a top performer against spin.

In Tests, he has already pulled India out of the hole in a few matches. With the likes of Sarfaraz Khan failing to fire, Shreyas Iyer can be a good option to get back to the middle order.

3) Umesh Yadav

It is not clear why Umesh Yadav was left out in the first place. Yes, age is a factor but we have seen pacers around his age be a part of the squad for other nations. Especially when Umesh was doing well, it did not make much sense to drop him.

That said, it is high time that he is given another chance. He knew how to take wickets in India and that is exactly what is needed right now.
