1) Rajat Patidar

Rajat Patidar was brilliant in IPL 2024. Mostly playing at No.4, he was excellent against the spinners. Considering this, he must have got his spot on the side.

However, BCCI has gone in for a completely new look for the Zimbabwe series. Rajat Patidar can consider himself really unlucky to get a spot here. He will look forward to the upcoming tournaments now.

2) Tilak Varma

Tilak Varma is one of the Indians unlucky to not get selected to the squad for the Zimbabwe series. It is actually a shock that Tilak Varma missed the Indian squad for the series.

He was one of the bright spots for Mumbai Indians in IPL 2024. Even in his short international career, he has been good. India needs good left-handed batters who can operate in the middle overs. Tilak has already done this in his career and it is surprising that he is not in the team.

3) Harshit Rana

Harshit Rana is an all-format pacer in the making for Team India. It would have been ideal to have him in the team for the Zimbabwe tour. Under less pressure, he could have made his debut.

However, despite these factors, Harshit could not make it to the squad. It would be a bit disappointing for him. Hence, he is on this list.
