RCB actually had a good run in IPL 2024, considering the start they had. They now seem to have arrived at the right combination. Hence, it could be hard on the management if they are made to retain only three cricketers. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of three players RCB could forcibly release before IPL 2025 if teams are allowed only 3 retentions.

1) Will Jacks

Will Jacks was a revelation for RCB in IPL 2024. Yet, he may not be retained by the franchise. The Englishman has a very small sample size and that may not help RCB when they are forced to retain just 3 men.

In this regard, Cameron Green might be preferred. Since the Aussie can contribute in the pace department, as well, he would be given more weightage by the side.

2) Yash Dayal

Yash Dayal is one of the players RCB could forcibly release before IPL 2025 if teams are allowed only 3 retentions. Many did not like when RCB splurged the cash on Yash at the auctions. However, he turned out to be the best bowler for RCB in IPL 2024.

He is just 26 and has a long way in his career. However, considering the other options on the side, RCB may not be able to afford him. It could also be hard to get him back after his form in IPL 2024.

3) Cameron Green

Again, it would be a toss-up between Cameron Green and Will Jacks. It may not be a surprise if Mohammed Siraj is also involved in the race here.

Virat Kohli and Rajat Patidar are likely to be retained. Siraj could get the nod ahead because he is a domestic pacer and has been a part of RCB for a while now. Hence, RCB might have to release Green. It is a big blow considering the balanace he adds to the team.
