1) Bat KL Rahul in the middle-order
KL Rahul has had a very indifferent campaign in IPL 2024. In a few games, he started well in the powerplay but in some other matches, he has been extremely disappointing. Against SRH, it was his negative innings with the bat that put his team out of contention.
An option would be to have KL bat in the middle-order. This way, the team can make better use of the powerplay and also, and KL gets to operate more freely in the middle-order.
2) Open the batting and bowling with Kyle Mayers
To open the batting and bowling with Kyle Mayers is one of the bold decisions LSG must take to get back to winning ways in IPL 2024. It is surprising that despite the inconsistency of Quinton de Kock, LSG is yet to use the services of Kyle Mayers.
While he is an attacking option with the bat, Mayers can also open the bowling. This would add a lot of balance to the side. Considering only Mohsin Khan has been decent with the new ball, Mayers must get a chance in the coming days.
3) Promote Krunal Pandya in the batting order
Krunal Pandya has actually been good with the bat this season. It could be time to make better use of his batting skills in the coming games.
The Baroda cricketer could be promoted in the batting order to make this happen. He could be given the free license to go after the bowling.
