Usually, the salary of a player in IPL is indicative of his value. However, at times, a lot of things change due to auction dynamics. Of course, players also improve and become more important to a side after a few seasons. On that note, here, we take a look at three players with a current salary of less than INR 1 Cr but could be retained before IPL 2025 Mega Auctions.

1) Rinku Singh – INR 0.55 Cr

Rinku Singh can prepare himself for a big hike in his IPL salary for IPL 2025. Currently, he is one of the best finishers in India. He is all set to feature for India in the 2024 T20 World Cup.

Still young, Rinku can further develop. Hence, he is likely to be retained by KKR. It could even be a first retention ahead of Shreyas Iyer. Hence, Rinku is on the list.

2) Rajat Patidar – INR 0.2 Cr

Rajat Patidar is one of the players with a current salary of less than INR 1 Cr but could be retained before IPL 2025 Mega Auctions. Yes, his Test debut might not have gone the right way but Rajat is still a good player.

If he has a good run in IPL 2024, RCB would surely consider retaining the cricketer. Currently, he earns a low amount and if he gets retained, he would earn easily more than INR 6 Cr. Since RCB does not have a young batter for the future, they could also be forced to retain Rajat.

3) Jitesh Sharma – INR 0.2 Cr

Jitesh Sharma could play for India in the 2024 T20 World Cup. He has developed his skill as a good finisher and a fine wicketkeeper.
