Team India will not play any T20Is before the 2024 T20 World Cup. Hence, IPL 2024 will be key for the management to select the squad that will fly to the West Indies and the USA. Even if some players are not in the radar at the moment, they can still get a chance to represent India at the World Cup if they do well in the competition. On that note, here, we take a look at three out-of-favour Indians who can get selected for the 2024 T20 World Cup if they do well in IPL 2024.

1) Bhuvneshwar Kumar

The last few months have been terrific for Bhuvi. Be it the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy or the UP T20 League, he has been on fire. If he can maintain the momentum in IPL 2024, a comeback will not be impossible.

He is a pacer who can bowl with the new ball and also in the death overs. India needs more experienced options here, and hence, Bhuvi still stands a chance.

2) Yuzvendra Chahal

Chahal is one of the out-of-favour Indians who can get selected for the 2024 T20 World Cup if they do well in IPL 2024. For the last few seasons, he has been in the conversation when it comes to the Purple Cap.

Yet, Chahal is not finding a spot in the Indian T20I Team. It needs to be noted that he is yet to make his debut at the T20 World Cup. That said, if his performance is better than the likes of Kuldeep and Ravi Bishnoi in IPL 2024, he can get a chance in the Indian Team.

3) Varun Chakaravarthy

A spinner with some mystery element could be a good option to have in the team. Yes, Varun did fail in the 2021 T20 World Cup but he is a different player now.

If he can pick a heap of wickets in IPL 2024, he could make a comeback to the Indian Team. In West Indies and the USA, such players could be a great asset to have in the squad.
