1) Shahrukh Khan – Chennai Super Kings
After M Vijay and R Ashwin, CSK has not seen a very big influx of Tamil Nadu players. This is despite the team doing well in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. In fact, other franchises have done well in picking some Tamil Nadu cricketers.
Nevertheless, CSK could be getting a big name at the auctions. They need a middle-order batter and Shahrukh Khan is available in the market. It is likely that they would go after the cricketer.
2) Shardul Thakur – Mumbai Indians
Shardul Thakur is one of the players who could go to their home franchise in IPL 2024 Auctions. When it comes to Mumbai Indians, they thrive on having the best Mumbai cricketers in the team. Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav are the biggest names in this regard.
The team might need an Indian pacer, preferably someone who can bowl in the middle-overs. If the player has decent batting skills, that will also help. Shardul Thakur is a perfect fit here. Therefore, the franchise can target the cricketer.
3) Kartik Tyagi – Lucknow Super Giants
While everyone is expecting MI and CSK to go after Kartik Tyagi, he could actually end up at LSG, which is his home team. LSG needs to replace Avesh Khan and also requires a young pacer for the future.
Kartik fits the bill very well. He has all the skills to excel at the EKANA pitch. Hence, Justin Langer could go behind the talented man.
