At times, a few players will have to spend a lot of time on the bench despite being really talented. It is unavoidable because that is how the dynamics of IPL and Auctions work. However, these players will surely get a chance going forward. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of three under-utilized cricketers who could get top bids at IPL 2025 Auctions.

1) Marco Jansen

With Pat Cummins coming in and appointed as skipper, Marco Jansen‘s game time was going to come down. Hence, you cannot even blame the franchise because Jansen had some games in the previous editions.

Many teams would line up someone like Marco Jansen. A top-bracket tall left-arm pacer, the South African guarantees wickets at the start. Plus, he adds value with the bat and is still very young.

2) Glenn Phillips

It is shocking that Glenn Phillips warmed the bench in IPL 2024. In any other franchise, he could have played more than 10 games. That said, it was a combination issue and it is bound to happen at times in the IPL.

A quality finisher and a handy right-arm off-spinner, the Kiwi will be on the target list for many squads. Plus, he is a genuine wicket-keeper and that further adds to the value he brings to the side. Squads like RCB and CSK might be desperate for his services.

3) R Sai Kishore

R Sai Kishore is one of the under-utilized cricketers who could get top bids at IPL 2025 Auctions. It is surprising that Gujarat Titans could not offer a lot of games for Sai, although he did well in the chances he got.

Nevertheless, many other teams would want and will guarantee a spot in the playing XI for a player like Sai. He is ready to be the leader of the spin attack and if he can work on his batting, he would be a great asset for any side in the IPL.
