The announcement of the Indian squad for the 2024 T20 World Cup is due soon. There are a lot of discussions on the most balanced squad for the event. It is risky to select an uncapped player but based on their form in IPL 2024, it is a risk worth taking. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of three uncapped players whom India must consider for the 2024 T20 World Cup.

1) Abhishek Sharma

In the modern T20 game, you need quick runs and Abhishek Sharma is giving exactly that. Yes, Yashasvi Jaiswal is in good form for Team India but if the selectors need to pick a player on IPL 2024 form, the option is Abhishek Sharma.

He is excellent against spinners, thereby complementing the likes of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. Also, he can provide a few overs with the ball.

2) Rajat Patidar (uncapped in the T20I format)

Rajat Patidar is yet to make his debut in the T20I format. If he had arrived early in IPL 2024, he might have had a better chance. Nevertheless, his name will be surely discussed.

Rajat is brilliant against the spinners. In the West Indies and the USA, such players are necessary. Yes, he has competition from the likes of Shivam Dube but he is an option that needs to be considered.

3) Harshit Rana

Harshit Rana is one of the uncapped players whom India must consider for the 2024 T20 World Cup. Jasprit Bumrah will lead the pace attack. Despite their inconsistency, Arshdeep Singh and Mohammed Siraj are likely to be backed.

That leaves one spot vacant for another pacer. The likes of Avesh Khan are in the fray. Mukesh Kumar and Sandeep Sharma could also get a chance. However, Harshit Rana offers an edge compared to these cricketers. Hence, there is a chance that he could get selected.
