1) Riyan Parag
Riyan Parag is in hot form right now. He bats at a difficult position and despite this, he is doing well. In the past, consistency was a problem for him. However, he has overcome that and ended up as the highest run-getter in the tournament.
India needs multi-dimensional cricketers. Parag can easily provide a few overs of off-spin. Hence, India might soon include him in the setup and groom the Assam cricketer for the future.
2) Suyash Sharma
Suyash Sharma is one of the performers in SMAT 2023 who could soon make their India debut. It was only recently that he made his domestic debut. Suyash picked a lot of wickets in the tournament and they came at an excellent economy.
India might phase out Yuzvendra Chahal soon if his poor run continues. While the likes of Ravi Bishnoi will partner with Kuldeep Yadav, there is space for a third leggie in the picture. Here is where Suyash Sharma could land his debut soon.
3) Abhishek Sharma
The Punjab all-rounder ended as the Man of the Tournament in SMAT 2023. He has been consistent and might selected for India soon.
Abhishek might be a backup for Yashasvi Jaiswal in the long run. Since he can also bowl some off-spin, he might get a longer rope if he does get a chance. This opportunity might come as soon as next month as India is set to face Australia in a T20I series.
