While CSK’s auction was poor, some of the decisions during the campaign were also strange. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of three shocking decisions taken by CSK during the IPL 2025 campaign.

1) Repeatedly backing Deepak Hooda

Deepak Hooda has been in bad touch since Day 1. Yet, the franchise has repeatedly backed him. Also, he has not been backed in his preferred role, which is in the top order. He has neither bowled. Therefore, this was a strange call by CSK.

2) Using Ravindra Jadeja at No.4 is a strange decision by CSK in the IPL 2025 campaign

Jaddu might have scored some runs at No.4. However, it does not make sense for the present nor the future. Shivam Dube and Dewald Brevis form the core of the middle-order. Delaying their entry point for Jaddu, who is not at his peak with the bat, is difficult to understand.

3) Not trying Vansh Bedi

Vansh Bedi is someone who hit more sixes than Priyansh Arya in the Delhi Premier League. He can also keep wickets. Considering the uncertainty around MSD’s future, it is shocking that Vansh was not tried by CSK. Even if he fails, it would have been an audition for the next season.
