Teams are now not giving a long rope even if a player has been retained before a Mega Auction. In the past, we have also seen players released soon after a Mega Auction, although they were retained players. 1) Shimron Hetmyer
The West Indian cricketer had the chance to finish and win two games for RR. However, he was not able to do both for the side. It appears that he has lost consistency in finishing games. RR might have an eye on Shubham Dubey for this role in the coming matches.
2) Nitish Kumar Reddy is one of the retained players before the IPL 2025 Auctions
Barring the first game, Nitish has not been doing well for the side. The likes of Smaran R and Abhinav Manohar are waiting for a chance. Nitish is also not bowling. Hence, if Nitish has a bad game or two, he could be kept aside for another batter.
3) Rinku Singh
It is more about giving Rinku a break. Last year, as well, he was in poor form. This year, he has not at all been consistent. Also, his slot is delaying the entry points of others in the side. In this regard, Rinku could be dropped from the side in the coming games.
