Yuzvendra Chahal and R Ashwin combination worked brilliantly for Rajasthan Royals. However, due to their age and also due to the retention restrictions, RR might not be able to continue with this duo. They could look to have a fresh pair in this regard. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of three realistic spin-twins Rajasthan Royals could target to replace Yuzi-Ashwin.

Note: We have considered players who could be released by their current outfits.

1) R Sai Kishore – Washington Sundar

Both Sai Kishore and Sundar are likely to be released by their current teams. Both these players would anyways prefer another franchise to continue their IPL careers.

For Tamil Nadu, they have done well and this duo is capable of being a part of the heart of a spin attack. They could complement each other very well. Hailing from the same state, the chemistry could also work for the franchise.

2) Ravi Bishnoi – Washington Sundar

Ravi Bishnoi and Washington Sundar form one of the realistic spin-twins Rajasthan Royals could target to replace Yuzi-Ashwin. Due to the limited retentions possible, Ravi Bishnoi could be released by LSG. Also, his form was not great in IPL 2024.

If RR wants to bring back the same template, they could go for similar types of cricketers. Of course, Bishnoi is faster than Chahal and Washi is a bit more defensive than Ashwin. Nevertheless, this duo could work well for a team in the middle overs.

3) Noor Ahmed – Krunal Pandya

With Rashid Khan at Gujarat Titans, the franchise could struggle to retain Noor Ahmed. The young teenager from Afghan could be at the centre of attention at the auctions. RR could hire him to add more variety to the spin unit.

Krunal Pandya comes in with a lot of experience and some defensive skills. He is also a decent batter and he could work well with Noor.
