Kolkata Knight Riders had a good start but later failed to find their feet in IPL 2023. That said, the team now has a solid core and it is expected to do well in IPL 2024. There is still a lot of scope for improvement when it comes to the squad construction. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of three players whom KKR could target in the IPL 2024 trade window.
1) KS Bharat – Gujarat Titans
KKR is in desperate need of a wicket-keeper. Preferably, this player must also be able to open the batting. While KKR can afford a foreigner, the ideal situation would be to have a good domestic keeper.
KS Bharat has not played a lot of games in the last two editions of IPL. He will need some IPL game time to show his skills. In this regard, he would also be open to a move. KKR must convince GT so that they can freeze their wicket-keeping slot for IPL 2024.
2) Kartik Tyagi – Sunrisers Hyderabad
Kartik Tyagi is one of the players whom KKR could target in the IPL 2024 trade window. Both Shardul Thakur and Umesh Yadav did not have a good outing in IPL 2023.
KKR needs some good Indian pacers and Kartik Tyagi should be a good target for them. He bowls quick and is someone who can be trusted in all phases of the game. Therefore, he is on this list.
3) Chetan Sakariya – Delhi Capitals
It has been a while since KKR has had a reliable left-arm pacer. Since Delhi Capitals already has Khaleel Ahmed, they can afford to lose Chetan Sakariya.
It would be a great move for KKR to have Sakariya in the team. While he can open the bowling, he is also able to produce some variations in the end overs.
