Against all expectations, Gujarat Titans won IPL 2023. They were simple in their approach and this helped them a lot. We can expect the management to yet again keep it simple when it comes to the ‘Impact Player’ rule. In IPL 2023 Auctions, it appears that they signed a few players to make use of the newly introduced role. On that note, here, we take a look at three players whom Gujarat Titans might mostly use as ‘Impact Substitution’ in IPL 2023.

1) Abhinav Manohar

Gujarat Titans boast quite a few players with raw power. Abhinav Manohar is one of them. Although the batter missed being a part of the XI in the latter stages of IPL 2022, the Impact Player rule will help him get more chances next season.

Since he is a terrific hitter of spin bowling, GT might make use of his services in the middle overs. He could then leave the field with a bowler taking the field for the next innings if GT is batting first in the game.

2) Sai Sudharsan

B Sai Sudharsan is one of the players whom Gujarat Titans might mostly use as ‘Impact Substitution’. Considering his form as an opener, it won’t be a surprise if Sai opens the batting along with Shubman Gill in IPL 2023.

In this scenario, it could be used as a powerplay basher, which would also allow Gill to get used to the pitch. Similar to Abhinav’s case, Sai could leave the field for the second innings if GT has batted first.

3) Shivam Mavi

Shivam Mavi is an exceptional bowler in the powerplay but has his struggles when used in the death overs. Therefore, he is also a part of this list.

He has shown decent batting skills and this might work in his favour. However, if he is purely used as a powerplay bowler, he could be substituted in the same inning or the next inning.
