3 players who could be involved in the post-auction IPL trade window

The situation at Mumbai Indians is not great, at least, going by the reactions on social media. It would not be a surprise if there could really be some issues in the MI dressing room. The next trade window will open on December 20th, right after the IPL 2024 Auctions. Here, we take a look at the list of three players who could be involved in the post-auction IPL trade window.

1) Rohit Sharma

As per reports, Rohit Sharma was asked by Delhi Capitals in the trade window. All of it depends on how Rohit Sharma sees the situation. If he wants to play and captain in the 2024 T20 World Cup, he might have to land elsewhere.

His next decision could have an impact on the rest of his career. It would not be a surprise if he made a move outside Mumbai. Hence, he is on this list.

2) Prithvi Shaw could be involved in the post-auction IPL trade window

Prithvi Shaw is one of the players who could be involved in the post-auction IPL trade window. If DC does pull off a trade involving Rohit Sharma, surely MI would ask for some players in exchange.

The ideal replacement for Rohit would be Prithvi Shaw. MI would get a similar cricketer but who is young and also has leadership skills. He is also a Mumbai cricketer. Yes, there could be an issue with his current form and fitness but that can be improved at MI.

3) Jasprit Bumrah

It appears that Bumrah may not enjoy a captaincy stint in the IPL. It would be a shame if a player of his calibre did not get this opportunity.

Suryakumar Yadav clearly seems to be the option for MI if Hardik Pandya’s captaincy tenure runs into some problems. Hence, it won’t be a surprise if Bumrah goes to a different outfit.
