Bengaluru-born Rachin Ravindra has been a revelation in the 2023 ODI World Cup. It is obvious that many franchises will go after the in-form cricketer. Royal Challengers Bangalore will be more eager to sign the Kiwi. The player has a strong connection with Bengaluru and the response to his batting at the Chinnaswamy Stadium has already caught the attention of many. Hence, the franchise could be interested in the cricketer. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of three players RCB might release to sign Rachin Ravindra for IPL 2024.
1) Finn Allen
It has been a few years since RCB signed Finn Allen. However, the Kiwi is yet to make his IPL debut. Considering his form has dropped and also Mike Hesson has left, Finn Allen could be released by the franchise.
Rachin Ravindra would be a top addition to the squad instead of Finn. In fact, in the New Zealand T20I squad, as well, if Finn Allen continues to have a tough run, Rachin Ravindra might replace him.
2) Michael Bracewell
Michael Bracewell is one of the players RCB might release to sign Rachin Ravindra for IPL 2024. Having recently recovered from an injury, it is not sure if Bracewell will be available for IPL 2024.
Meanwhile, RCB could release the cricketer who joined the team as the replacement for Will Jacks. The Englishman is likely to be retained despite not playing in IPL 2023.
3) Reece Topley
Reece Topley was one of the key acquisitions for RCB last season. However, in the first game itself, the player was out of the tournament due to an injury.
With the player displaying his vulnerability to injury yet again, Topley might be released before the auctions. This would open up a slot for RCB, who can then target Rachin. Instead of Reece, RCB can also release Wayne Parnell or David Willey, as well.
