Here, we take a look at the list of three players Mumbai Indians might be forced to release if they sign Hardik Pandya.

1) Cameron Green – INR 17.5 Cr

Cameron Green would be the first person who will be released by MI if Hardik joins the team. This is despite the Aussie doing well last season.

Green’s salary is the main reason why he will be released. Also, Hardik Pandya is also an all-rounder and Green may not be needed in the team. Therefore, he is on the list.

2) Jofra Archer – INR 8 Cr

Jofra Archer is one of the players Mumbai Indians might be forced to release if they sign Hardik Pandya. It is obvious that Mumbai might release Archer. Fitness, availability and form are the concerns associated with Jofra Archer.

In Jofra’s absence, MI needs to eye some good foreign pacers in the auctions. Some of the good available names include the likes of Pat Cummins and Mitchell Starc.

3) Dewald Brevis – INR 3 Cr

If Mumbai Indians has to work on further strategies in the auctions, they would need more money. None of the domestic players can be released and hence, all the eyes would be on the foreigners. Brevis is someone who has not had a lot of chances recently.

INR 3 Cr may not be a big amount but the situation that MI is in, the franchise might need it. It is better to retain Tim David than Brevis at the moment. Therefore, the team could take this decision.
