1) KL Rahul
We have already seen quite a few teams collapse in the initial overs. In the 2023 ODI World Cup, as well, India had these collapses. It was KL Rahul who pulled them out of these.
Similarly, his technique would have been ideal for these conditions. Run accumulation is key here and players like KL Rahul thrive under such requirements. There would have been more balance and less pressure on the middle-order if KL had been there.
2) K Khaleel Ahmed
K Khaleel Ahmed is one of the players India could have selected for the 2024 T20 WC based on pitch conditions in the USA. He is already a part of the travelling camp but is not in the final squad.
While Arshdeep Singh is doing well, Khaleel’s presence would have further made the Indian bowling strong. He moves the ball wall and as seen in IPL 2024, he can pick a heap of wickets with this skill. Therefore, Khaleel would have been ideal for these conditions.
3) Rinku Singh
As we all know, Rinku Singh is an excellent player of pace bowling. Especially in the death overs, he has a fine range to get runs from all corners of the park against the pacers.
A player like him would have been very useful in these conditions. Rather than strength, range hitting is a better attribute for these conditions. Hence, Rinku Singh would have been an ideal player to have.
