SKY is one of the Mumbai Indians cricketers who could decline retention before the IPL 2025 Auctions. Like with Bumrah, even SKY is capable of being a captain elsewhere. In fact, he might be even desperate for it.
The best Indian T20 batter right now, SKY deserves a chance as a skipper. This will also help him create a legacy in the IPL. Hence, SKY could look for opportunities in other teams.
3) Rohit Sharma
Multiple instances have indicated that Rohit Sharma is unhappy with the Mumbai Indians management. Even his fans were left unhappy with the way the captaincy saga was handled.
Rohit can operate for a few more years as a captain. If that is not happening at Mumbai, he will surely have options in other franchises. Hence, Rohit could decline the retention offer from Mumbai Indians.
