Rahul Dravid is not the coach of Team India anymore. It will be interesting to see the role he takes up in the coming months. Surely, a few IPL teams would be interested in his services. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of three IPL franchises that must desperately target Rahul Dravid as their next Head Coach.
1) Mumbai Indians
For a team as big as Mumbai Indians, IPL 2024 was a black spot. With the squad they had, they had to reach the playoffs. However, they finished 10th. Mark Boucher was also a reason because he was not good with his tactics and management.
If Dravid is available, MI must work on his signature. Also, a big team like this needs a high-profile coach and Dravid fits the bill perfectly.
2) Punjab Kings
Punjab Kings is one of the IPL franchises that must desperately target Rahul Dravid as their next Head Coach. Trevor Bayliss is unlikely to continue as the Head Coach of PBKS. It will be interesting to see whom PBKS might approach as the next coach.
Whoever it is, PBKS must ensure that they give the coach a long run. If a coach like Dravid is there, due to his popularity, PBKS might be forced to do that. Indirectly, this would help the franchise. Therefore, PBKS should hire Dravid as the next Head Coach.
3) Lucknow Super Giants
It would be a hard call to leave out a coach like Justin Langer after just one season. However, it needs to be noted that IPL 2024 was a bad one for Langer as a Head Coach. The team struggled a lot with its tactics.
If someone like Rahul Dravid is available on the market, LSG must be quick to pounce. He would be the perfect man to lead LSG to the first title.
