They have too many top-order players and then they have batters who are more known for their finishing abilities. Hence, they might have to take a different tactic to ace their batting order for the next season. 1) Sam Curran
In IPL 2023, we saw Sam Curran play up the order. It won’t be a surprise if he does that again. Again, it will not be a surprise if Sam Curran plays as high as No.4.
Sam Curran‘s confidence with the ball is going down. To get the best out of him, it might be required to give him more tasks with the bat. Since PBKS needs a left-hander in the middle-order, he could be a worthy option. He could have his issues against spin but if he can sort it out beforehand, he could be a good choice.
2) Jitesh Sharma
Jitesh would be an important part of the PBKS setup for IPL 2024. He might get a higher responsibility and that could be batting at No.4.
He has experience playing for India and has demonstrated his skills of being a good player of both pace and spin. Therefore, Trevor Bayliss could take this route, as well.
3) Sikandar Raza
Sikandar Raza is one of the interesting options Punjab Kings could use for the No.4 batting slot in IPL 2024. If Liam Livingstone is not in great form, PBKS could take the option of Raza.
Although the Zimbabwe player would prefer to operate further down, he has the skills to do well at No.4., as well. He is good against spin and can accumulate runs. Hence, he is on this list.
