A stint in the County Championship could help in many ways. Some players hone their skills in the longest format of the game, while a few get a chance to make a comeback to the national side. Here, we take a look at the list of two Indians who played in the County in 2024 and are now in the squad for the England Tour.
1) Karun Nair
It is just not his stint at the County that helped him get back to the Indian side. Karun did great things at the Ranji Trophy to earn his deserved comeback. At the County, as well, the Karnataka cricketer was in fine form, and the selectors would have surely noted that.
2) B Sai Sudharsan is in the Indian squad for the England Tour
Usually, an uncapped Indian cricketer does not get a gig at the County. However, it was different for Sai, and it was mainly because of his talent. He has played across two seasons for Surrey and has been good in both years. Now that his overall confidence is great, he is in the Indian Team.
3) Arshdeep Singh
Arshdeep Singh did well at Kent and soon, the selectors had him on the radar. He had to miss out on the tour to Australia. However, he is now firmly in the Test setup, as well.
