In recent times, a lot of Indian players are signing up for a gig in the County Championship. For all these players, it is more about improving their form and making the path easier for a spot in the Indian Team. In fact, a few uncapped cricketers are also trying their luck in one of the oldest Test tournaments. On that note, here, we take a look at three Indian Test uncapped players who are currently playing in England’s County Championship.
1) Yuzvendra Chahal – Kent
Yuzvendra Chahal has played a lot of white-ball games for India. However, he is yet to make his debut in Test cricket. This is more because of his bowling type, which involves trying to lure batters into making a mistake while scoring runs.
That said, Chahal got a deal in the tournament with Kent. He is doing well and it will help his confidence, considering he was dropped from the Indian Team. A good outing could help his case if he has to make his Test debut in the future.
2) Sai Sudharsan – Surrey
Sai Sudharsan is one of the Indian Test uncapped players who is currently playing in England’s County Championship. Usually, County Teams bank on established Indian players for their squads.
However, knowing his potential, it was not a surprise to see Surrey sign up Sai. He is one of the brightest batting talents in the country. If he manages to do well, a spot in the Indian Test Team might not be far away for the Tamil Nadu star.
3) Arshdeep Singh – Kent
One of the interesting names from India in the County is Arshdeep Singh. While he has enjoyed popularity in T20Is, he has also shown that he can do well in the longer format.
In fact, India might also consider him in the future. This could be a good investment, considering India needs a left-arm pacer in Tests.
