1) Kane Williamson
Yes, you heard it right! Especially if LSG releases KL Rahul, the team will lack a senior batter in the top-order. At times, such a player is key and LSG must ensure that they have someone who can control the innings.
An ideal choice could be Kane Williamson. He is experienced, can open the innings and if needed, can also captain the side. Considering he is not that bad against spin, the Kiwi could be an intelligent investment for LSG.
2) Abhinav Manohar
Abhinav Manohar is one of the Gujarat Titans players whom LSG might target in IPL 2025 Auctions. GT might not take the risk of retaining Abhinav because he is yet to show consistency in IPL.
However, LSG could target the player as the spin-hitter at No.4. Especially if KL Rahul is still the skipper, he could target his Karnataka teammate to join the side.
3) Rahul Tewatia
The Haryana cricketer is severely under-rated in the IPL. More often than not, he comes up with some fine cameos that help his team cross the line. Although not used, his bowling can also help balance the side, especially if the tracks assist the spinners.
LSG might need someone with a finishing punch after Nicholas Pooran in the XI. Rahul Tewatia can be the man. His range hitting will also help the side in the end.
