Royal Challengers Bangalore has a history of not giving much time to their coaches. Recently, as well, the team had to part ways with the staff who had helped them get some good results in the last few seasons. Nevertheless, a few coaches of the past are involved in the ongoing 2023 ODI World Cup. Here, we take a look at the list of three former RCB coaches who are coaches in the 2023 ODI World Cup.

1) Andrew McDonald – Head Coach of Australia

Andrew McDonald was named as the Head Coach of Australia after Justin Langer. He has done well but is now struggling to get his side to perform in the ODI World Cup.

It was under Daniel Vettori that McDonald became the bowling coach of RCB. Earlier, he had also represented the franchise as a cricketer. McDonald has also held a similar role in Delhi Capitals.

2) Daniel Vettori – Bowling Coach of Australia

Daniel Vettori is a former RCB Head Coach. Although he had a great start to his stint, he later lost his way and had to be sacked eventually. He is now making a comeback as a Head Coach with Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL.

When it comes to Australia, he is the bowling coach. The bowling unit of Australia has been good, although the likes of Pat Cummins can perform better. Vettori would also regret not having an extra spinner in the team.

3) Allan Donald – Fast-Bowling Coach of Bangladesh

Allan Donald is one of the former RCB coaches who are coaches in the 2023 ODI World Cup. Many seasons ago, Allan Donald was the bowling coach of RCB. He is now involved with the Bangladesh Team.
