Australian Head Coaches are common in the Indian Premier League. Even in IPL 2024, we saw quite a few of them. Now, Delhi Capitals will have to search for a new option after they parted ways with Ricky Ponting. Here, we take a look at the list of three former Australian cricketers Delhi Capitals might consider for their next Head Coach.

1) Shane Watson

Shane Watson was the assistant coach of the Delhi Capitals a few seasons ago. Since then, he has coached at PSL and is also doing a job at the MLC now. He could be the right choice considering the future of the franchise.

Watto has experience as a player in IPL for almost close to 15 years. He can use this experience and implement a project which could help DC win a couple of trophies. Hence, he is on this list.

2) Adam Voges

Adam Voges is one of the former Australian cricketers Delhi Capitals might consider for their next Head Coach. It is surprising that Voges has not got a lot of gigs overseas. For Perth Scorchers, he has been a wonderful coach.

If DC is targeting someone under-rated, they could look at Voges. He has experience in this role and could make a difference for the side.

3) Mike Hussey

Currently, Mike Hussey is involved with the Chennai Super Kings. However, he is not the Head Coach. For sure, that job is not going to become vacant soon. Stephen Fleming has been doing well and the management will persist with him.

On the other hand, Hussey has gained experience as a head coach in various leagues. If an opportunity opens up in the IPL, he could be open to taking it. DC can also get a good tactician in the backroom and probably someone who can implement a CSK model at Delhi.
