Usually, when a cricketer is playing for India, it means that he must be getting a good amount in the IPL. However, in recent times, the Indian T20I squad has seen a lot of newcomers. Most of these players emerged only recently. The last time they went under the hammer, they were not so popular. Hence, their salaries are less even now. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of three current Indian cricketers who earn less than INR 1 Crore in IPL.
1) Rinku Singh – INR 55 Lakhs
One of the players who has already cemented his place for the 2024 T20 World Cup is Rinku Singh. His performances in recent times as a finisher have impressed all. However, he earns less than one crore at Kolkata Knight Riders.
In this regard, he is severely underpaid. Nevertheless, if a mega-auction happens in the future, the Uttar Pradesh star is sure to command close to or even more than INR 10 Crores.
2) Jitesh Sharma – INR 20 Lakhs
Jitesh Sharma is one of the players on this list of current Indian cricketers who earn less than INR 1 Crore in IPL. The Vidharba wicket-keeper is currently a part of the Indian Team. He plays for the Punjab Kings in IPL.
It is only in the last two seasons that he has become popular. When PBKS signed him, not many were aware of his skills. Hence, no other team competed with PBKS for Jitesh’s signature. Hence, he still earns his base price amount of INR 20 lakhs.
3) Rajat Patidar – INR 20 Lakhs
Rajat Patidar is yet to make his Indian debut. However, he has already been selected for the squad and is seen as someone who can be in the team for a long time.
He was a replacement signing in IPL 2022. Rajat came in place for Luvnith Sisodia at RCB for his base price of INR 20 lakhs. He earns the same amount even now.
