In fact, some players such as Ambati Rayudu have been successful for both sides. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of three CSK players whom Mumbai Indians could target for IPL 2025.

1) Mitchell Santner

Mumbai Indians have not done well in the spin department in the recent seasons. In IPL 2024, they had the opportunity to play two overseas bowlers. In most of the cases, they played two pacers or an extra all-rounder. Mohammad Nabi was used as the overseas spinner in a few matches.

Interestingly, had MI hired a foreign spinner like Akeal Hosein, they would have been served better. In this regard, Mitchell Santner would be ideal for the unit. He provides four good overs of spin along with value with the willow.

2) Sameer Rizvi

Sameer Rizvi is one of the CSK players whom Mumbai Indians could target for IPL 2025. Yes, he failed in IPL 2024 but that is mainly because he was given erratic opportunities.

On the other hand, Mumbai Indians could look for a young top-order domestic batter who could potentially replace Rohit Sharma in the future. Sameer Rizvi has all those credentials. He is one of the future superstars in India. Therefore, MI could target him.

3) Rachin Ravindra

Mumbai Indians’ investment in Dewald Brevis did not yield investments. Now, MI could look for a different young talent whom they can groom. Here is where someone like Rachin Ravindra fits the bill perfectly.

CSK would surely prefer buying back Devon Conway. Rachin showed signs of his skills in a few games. He can further develop and he can also improve as a spinner. Mumbai Indians could consider signing him as an opener for the future. He will also succeed on the flat tracks at Wankhede.
