As per reports, Sunrisers Hyderabad is on the hunt for a new Head Coach. It was just one season ago that Brian Lara was made the Head Coach. However, despite having a top squad, Lara was not able to do well with the squad. Therefore, it might not be a surprise if SRH makes the move to replace Lara. The West Indian legend could still stay in the franchise as a Mentor or a Director of Cricket. On that note, here, we take a look at two former players whom SRH can appoint as new Head Coach.

1) Eoin Morgan

Eoin Morgan retired from all forms of the game recently. At his peak, while he was a terrific batter, he was also a brilliant captain. Right from the disastrous show in the 2015 ODI World Cup, Morgan has had an influential role in building and developing a super-team for England.

He has a philosophy that has worked in the past. In fact, England is still a strong white-ball setup and the credit must go to Morgan. Therefore, he would be a fine option for SRH because Morgan is reportedly looking for a career in this role. He would bring a fresh perspective to the franchise and this might turn out to be a winning move.

2) Aaron Finch

Aaron Finch is one of the former players whom SRH can appoint as the new Head Coach. The former Aussie skipper is not known as a tactician but actually, he was a pretty good skipper for his nation. Under him, Australia won the T20 World Cup in 2021.

Although he is still a part of the game as a player, it may not be a bad idea to consider Finch as an option. This is, of course, if he is willing to take up the challenge. SRH needs a breath of fresh air and they could get that in the form of their former opener.
