Before IPL 2024, Mumbai Indians executed the biggest trade in IPL history by bringing back Hardik Pandya to the franchise. With that in mind, it now appears that any other switch is also possible in the IPL. For CSK, with the likes of MS Dhoni at the end of their careers, there is a need to plan the squad for the future. Hence, there have been some reports of popular cricketers joining the franchise. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of two crazy trade rumours involving CSK ahead of IPL 2025 Auctions.
1) Rishabh Pant and Shivam Dube trade
A few weeks ago, there were rumours that Rishabh Pant would join CSK. However, the reports died down after some of the Delhi Capitals’ officials played down the talks. That said, the rumours are failing to die down.
Now, as per reports, Rishabh Pant and Shivam Dube are likely to be involved in an exchange. Shivam Dube is a fantastic IPL player and at least at the moment, in the IPL, he is better than Rishabh Pant. However, Pant offers keeping and captaincy skills. Therefore, it may not be a surprise if this happens.
2) Sanju Samson and Shivam Dube trade
Sanju Samson and Shivam Dube exchange is one of the crazy trade rumours involving CSK ahead of IPL 2025 Auctions. Sanju Samson and CSK have been linked before, as well. Again, before IPL 2025, the Rajasthan Royals captain is linked again with the five-time champions.
Here, as well, Shivam Dube is expected to go to Rajasthan Royals. Shivam did have a stint at RR before he moved to CSK. Now, though, he is a better player and since RR needs a good left-handed batter at No.4, he can be a good choice for the side. However, trading your captain to a rival outfit may not actually happen with respect to an ambitious side like RR.
