1) Kwena Maphaka for Maheesh Theekshana
The Sri Lankan spinner is not picking enough wickets, and he has not been consistent in having a good economy. Also, he is poor on the field.
Maphaka is a talented cricketer, and RR must hand a debut to him. If he can do well with the new ball, the side will do well on the day.
2) Akash Madhwal for Tushar Deshpande is one of the changes the Rajasthan Royals must make
Tushar Deshpande is not doing well with the new ball. He is also not effective at death. RR could choose Maphaka as Jofra’s powerplay partner and give a chance to Akash.
Akash can do well at the death with his yorkers. He can have an impact in the middle overs. Therefore, he deserves a chance at this stage of the league. Sandeep Sharma could then be used freely.
