Fans on Twitter were unhappy and expressed their disappointment after Bhuvneshwar Kumar yet again leaked runs in the 19th over that cost India the first T20I against Australia at PCA Stadium in Mohali.
India fails to defend 209 runs as Australia takes a 1-0 lead in the series
The T20I series between India and Australia kick-started on Tuesday (20th September) with a high-scoring encounter in Mohali, that saw the visitors clinching the game by the margin of 4 wickets to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match series.
Asked to bat first, India displayed a sensational batting performance despite losing early wickets. KL Rahul (55) and Suryakumar Yadav (46) took Australian bowlers to the cleaners. Before Hardik Pandya provided a brutal finish to the innings with his staggering unbeaten knock of 71 runs that helped India post a total of 208 runs on the board.
Australia then came out all guns blazing and made a mockery of Indian bowlers. Cameron Green played a sensational inning of 61 runs to take his side close to the target. India however, came back in the game with few wickets in the middle but Matthew Wade played a breathtaking innings of unbeaten 45 runs to take his side home.
Fans on Twitter express their disappointment with Bhuvneshwar Kumar for leaking runs at the death
It was a poor outing in the field for Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the first T20I against Australia. The pacer conceded 52 runs in his quota of 4 overs. With 18 runs needed in the last two overs, many expected the senior Indian pacer to do well but he yet again leaked runs and gave away 16 runs.
Fans on Twitter were unhappy with India’s bowling performance, especially with Bhuvneshwar. Here’s what they said:

Really can't wait to see Jasprit Bumrah and Arshdeep Singh bowling the final 4 overs. India badly need a reliable duo at the death overs.
